we have a pet rabbit which we put in shredded paper and hay/straw but it seems such a waste just to chuck in in the bin. obviously the waste also has rabbit droppings in it as well.
will this waste be of benefit to a compost bin.

I am trying to think of what I can do with the shredded paper that would be to my advantage, as I do not have access to a paper recycle station at this time.

Most of us have mounds of shredded paper. Is there any good use for it other than throwing it in the trash?

Money is tight right now and bedding is expensive so I was wondering if I could use the shredded paper that I have. I shred my mail as it comes in and things with my name and such. I know newspapers aren't safe becasue of all the ink they use and magazines aren't safe either. But what about just regular everyday junk mail. Or does anyone have other suggestion for bedding that is cheap or free for an adult guinea pig?
